Eoghan ("Owen") O'Connell is the founder and president of Global Golf Links. He was born in Cork, Ireland and lived there until he was 18 years old. He played junior golf for Ireland and won many junior events in Ireland and Europe.

Mr. O'Connell attended Wake Forest University on a Lanny Wadkins Scholarship from 1986 to 1990. He was Second Team All American at Wake Forest in 1988 and All ACC for three years. As a member of the winning Walker Cup team in 1989 he was undefeated in four matches. Eoghan played the European Tour from 1990 to 1997, traveling to over 30 countries on five continents and playing the finest courses in Europe.

As a golfer from Ireland, Mr. O'Connell has been assisting people with trips to Ireland and Europe for years. In 1998 when his professional golf career ended due to injury, several groups asked him to help them with golf trips because of his extensive golfing experience in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and the U.S.

Eoghan has personally provided golf travel consultation to groups who have traveled to Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Scandinavia, South Africa, Dubai and Thailand.
